Jumbo Group received multiple awards during the Sony Business Partners Meeting that took place in Dubai in March 2019. The event was attended by Arvind Agrawal, CEO Jumbo Group, and Atul Joshi, Business Head – Distribution, Jumbo Group who received the awards from Mr. Famiatsu Hirai, Managing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa and Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, Global Sales & Marketing Officer, Sony Marketing Inc.
The first award went to Jumbo’s Sony Business Division which was awarded the ‘Sales Achievement Award’ in recognition of its performance in the Headphones Category which led to significant increase in market share and growth of business during FY18.
The second award was the ‘Omotenashi Project’ Award that was received by the Jumbo Serve division for our consistent efforts to improve the customer satisfaction for Interchangeable Lens Camera Category in 2018.
The third award was presented to Jumbo Oman in recognition of substantial increase in market share and growth of business for the Television Category in FY 2018. This was in addition to three service awards received by Jumbo Oman earlier this year including Multi-Category Technician Award, Retail Operations Improvement Award and the Gold Status Certificate for TV, Audio and Cameras category
Commenting on this recognition, Famiatsu Hirai, Managing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa, said: “Financial year 2018 has been a good year for Sony worldwide as well as in the UAE.
