Players of all backgrounds to showcase region’s gaming capabilities
Dubai, UAE, 8 December 2023: Jumbo Electronics, one of the UAE's leading consumer electronics distributors and retailers, has announced its sponsorship of the Dubai Police Esports Tournament, which takes place at the Dubai Police Officers Club from December 9th to 13th 2023. During the 5-day event, Jumbo Electronics will also have on sale gaming consoles, monitors and other electronic products.
The Dubai Police Esports Championship, now in its third edition, is one of the region’s leading esports events and brings together players of different nationalities and ages to battle for a prize pot totalling AED 240,000. Players will compete in a range of games from FPS to MOBA; these include VALORANT, FC24, Fortnite, Counter Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2 & Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
The Championship strives to foster secure and conscientious gaming while instilling a sense of competition among gamers, all the while raising awareness of the safety of gaming and esports. Previous editions of the Championship have attracted over 1,500 players from 38 nationalities, and 4,000 fans, with player ages ranging from 8 to 49.
