Dubai, UAE; 31 March 2019: Jumbo Group continues to achieve new milestones and has recently been recognised at the Sony Business Partners Meeting held in Dubai. The award presented by Sony awarded key distributors in the market and Jumbo emerged as one of the most valuable partners for Sony in the UAE and Oman.
Jumbo Group won the ‘Sales Achievements Award 2018’ for driving a substantial increase in Sony’s market share especially in the headphones category, including product availability, space management and store staffing. This helped Sony achieve 66 per cent growth during the financial year (FY) 2018 from April 2018 to March 2019.

Meanwhile, Jumbo Serve won the Magonote Omotanashi Project Award for improving customer satisfaction. Jumbo Serve also won the Best Repair Operations Improvement Award and the Best Multi-Category Technician Development for providing faster and assured service to customers; offering the widest network of service centers across UAE, value added service sets, round-the-clock collection and deliveries, onsite service, unwired services, delivery and installation services and customer care.
Jumbo Oman also received recognition for helping Sony achieve exceptional sales growth in the Sultanate and doubling market share in the TV category in FY18. Sony achieved a sales growth of 39 per cent, while market share reached 21 per cent. This was one of highest growth rates that Sony recorded in the TV category across the GCC and Africa regions in FY18 and Jumbo was a key part of this success.
