Activision Blizzard, the world's most successful standalone interactive entertainment company wanted to strengthen its presence in some of its key markets in UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.
Activision Blizzard selected the Jumbo Group to cater to the ever-growing gaming community in the region. Jumbo brings its market knowledge, strong experience in the UAE and GCC, as well as its robust distribution network to help Activision Blizzard meet its objectives. Leveraging on its relationships with over 100 retailers in the region, Jumbo is now the exclusive retail distributor for Activision Blizzard in the region.
Soon after this partnership kicked off, Jumbo Group was given the responsibility to launch Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled game at retailers. To support the launch of Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Jumbo ran a robust in-store and online campaign that lasted for 6 weeks across all the targeted markets.
As part of a unique customer campaign 70 select customers amongst the ones who pre-ordered the game in the UAE, were rewarded with a real-life Crash™ Team Racing experience organised by Jumbo at Dubai Autodrome – Indoor Kartdrome.
Participants went full-throttle trying their hand at a race simulator followed by a Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled game on the PlayStation 4, culminating in a thrilling karting competition on track. Following some exciting and tense racing, the top three winners took away exciting prizes and great memories.
Along with a full-fledged trade marketing activation including in-store branding, leveraging retailers’ digital channels and product trials in-store, Jumbo helped Activision to make the launch of Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled a huge success story in retail stores across the region.
